Niraj Saripalli and Nandhini Saripalli wins All Goa State Junior ( U-19) Open and Girls Chess selection 2013
Both brother and sister Niraj Saripalli , student of RMS Higher Secondary School Margoa and Nandhini Saripalli, student of Damodar College won the All Goa State Junior ( U-19) Open and Girls Chess selection 2013 conducted by Tiswadi Taluka Chess Association in aegis with Goa Chess Association and Fr. Agnelo College Pilar held at Fr. Agnelo College of Arts & Commerce Pilar, Goa.
Niraj and Rohan Ahuja scored 5.5 points each from 6 rounds but on better tie break Niraj went on winning the Championship. Rohan Ahuja finished second . Kapil Pawse and Deepak Gopalan scored 4.5 points and finished 3rd and 4th respectively . Anirudh Bhat and Shane Braganza scored 4 points and finished 5th and 6th respectively.
In the Girls section Nandhini Saripalli won the championship with the score of 4.5 points from 5 rounds. Second place went to Krystal Fernandes who scored 4 points . Sonali Kerkar scored 4 points and finished 3rd. Ridhi Zantye and Gauri Hadkonkar scored 3.5 points and finished 4th and 5th respectively. Sakshi Naik Gaonkar with the score of 3 points finished 6th.
First 4 players from Open and Girls category each will represent Goa at National to be held at Uttar Pradesh.
Fr. Frederic , Principal of Fr Agnelo College Pillar was the Chief guest of the function. Also present were Shri Ashesh Keni ( President GCA), Shri Mahesh Candolkar ( President TTCA) , Shri Arvind Mhamal( Secretary GCA), Mr Balakrishnan ( Joint Secretary GCA ) , and Mr Tanay Kaisary.
IN 57TH NATIONAL SCHOOL GAMES (CHESS) held at Yuva college,Virar.
The team consisted of Gauri Hadkonkar ,Aishwarya Thorat,Sonali Kerkar,Krystal Fernandes and Ramasirisa Avvara.
The teams were accompanied by Manager Satish Naik and coaches Sanjay Kavlekar(senior SAG coach) Swapnil Hoble (SAG coach) and Gautam Tari.The Goan team beat Tamil Nadu in 5th round by 2.5 to 1.5 points and drew with ultimate winner Maharastra 2-2 in the final round.The team was selected

Ritviz Parab ( 2053) wins the all Goa Open Rapid Chess tournament conducted by Tiswadi Taluka Chess Association in aegis with Bambolim Chess Club and Goa University. Tournament was held at Jublee Hall, Goa University Talegao Plateau. Ritviz scored 8.5 points with 8 wins and 1 draw from 9 rounds.

(Tamil Nadu.) won the GVM HSS PTA ALL INDIA OPEN FIDE RATING CHESS TOURNAMENT 2012 played at Farmagudi- Ponda organized by GVM H.S.S Parent Teachers Association and the Past Students Association.
